We're super excited to welcome Embroidery Teacher, Elyse to the studio as part of our Mindful crafting series! This engaging workshop is intended to help participants connect to their innate wisdom and creative spark. Through a combination of mindfulness and the learning of practical hand embroidery skills we will explore creative expression as a self reflective and self care practice. The intention is to share accessible tools that can be emotionally supportive and create more calm and presence in day to day life.
As we're moving closer to Christmas Elyse will be guiding you to create a beautiful embroidered snowflake hoop to take home. The hoop can be used as decoration in your home or given as a gift to a loved one (yourself included!). I'll teach all basic embroidery skills and there will be a few colour options to choose from. This workshop is suitable for complete beginners to hand embroidery and anyone who would simply enjoy spending time together with others, stitching and having fun!
What's included:
- All embroidery tools are provided and yours to take home to continue working on (Hoop, threads, needle, fabric + pdf handout)
- Herbal tea and snacks during the workshop
- Feel free to bring a journal and pen incase you want to take additional notes.

About Elyse: Elyse is an artist, embroidery teacher and ceremony / ritual facilitator based in Co. Durham. She studied textiles and fashion design through college and university and for over a decade, since leaving education, has been immersed in the world of health, healing and spirituality. With a passion for both the arts and wellbeing she's gently merging all interests, drawing on a rich landscape of personal experience, to offer events and experiences that bring people together, create deeper community bonds and encourage empowerment through self connection. She holds a free monthly online singing group called Sing to the Goddess, adores greek mythology and art deco architecture and is an avid netball player.
