Our latest offering at The Durham Yoga studio! Do you love yoga, books and meeting new people over a cup of tea?
In our free book club, we alternate between novels, short stories, and poetry that all address themes like movement, nature, mental health, womanhood, all while bringing a group of lovely people together.
The Studio Book Club will run monthly, usually on a Sunday at 11.15am following the Sunday Mellow Flow, look out on our timetable for the next date!

About your Host: Arya Thampuran
'I’m a researcher in the medical humanities at Durham University by day, and my work on mental health and healing follows me onto the mat when I clock off (in the best possible way!). My interest in yoga is both professional and deeply personal; it’s opened my eyes to how the body and breath can be harnessed and harmonised to empower us. I come from a South Indian background and grew up listening to the mythology behind our poses, so I love incorporating some storytelling into my flows. Classes will be mellow and mindful, cultivating a compassionate relationship with movement.'
